Ideas Matter: The Social Network

"Join twitter, download kik messenger, OMG! add me on facebook."

Nowadays, in our age of information, it seems if you don't join the technologically elite masses, you're left behind coughing on cyber-dust (the cousin of traditional dust). However, for those of you who just want to stop the annoying rant of your buddies, here are some reasons you should go see The Social Network. Don't worry, we won't post your secret to our profiles, you piggy-backing sellout.

See it because we all know a Mark Zuckerburg
Yes, It's true. He is the guy you made up a handshake with (in the 5th grade), who STOLE your handshake, put a clap on the end and called it "the Zuckerburg- too legit to quit- swag shake"....now, the f*cking 8th graders are doing your handshake (with no credit to you of course).....we know how you feel, see the damn film....

See it Because, David Fincher Does a great directing job

David Fincher is the directorial mastermind behind The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Fight Club and Se7en. He also was the executive producer of Lords of Dogtown, a movie that depicts skateboarding and surf trends originating from Venice, California during the 1970s.

See it for laughs: I'm 6' 5" 220 pounds and there's two of me

There are hilarious moments in the film. I for one cracked up when Mark Zuckerburg, played by
Jesse Eisenberg, pluralizes Winklevoss ---->(Winklevie). The phrases are witty, energentic and some just plain duche-y

See it because the Winklevoss twins are played by Armie Hammer and Josh Pence
It turns out a computer can do other mind boggling things such as duplicate the likeness of one actor and superimpose the image to another. The actual face of the Winklevoss twins is Armie Hammer, with Josh Pence playing the stand in. Later, during post-production, Armie Hammer's face was copied to Josh Pence's body. The two spent 10 months in twin bootcamp learning how to synchronize each other's movements to cultivate "twin" intuition.

See it because ideas matter
Let's face it: If you've ever said "I thought of that design / business / product 3 years ago", you need to go see this damn movie. Stop sitting on your dusty ass and bring some shit to life! Start creating to help generate this economy; we're still in a recession, b*tch. Zuckerburg capitalized on a genius, once-in-a-generation idea because he was driven and didn't sleep much (whether or not he stole the idea is another thing). Do you think Mark Zuckerburg is worried about how he's going to pay rent next month? Hell No! But if you are, please reference "Top 10 Things to Sell When you're short on Rent".....Message!

Lastly, See it because Facebook changed your life

You've reconnected with your best friend from kindergarten, contacted the person you gave your
V-card to and discovered a way to cheat on your history final. Yes, we know, you couldn't have done it without facebook. Do yourself a favor and see the start of what made all this possible!
