God I love Mexico!

Where else would you celebrate an annual holiday that marks beating your debt collectors, The French way back in 1862???

Nowadays, no one sticks it to the folks at Citibank or Sallie Mae, so I think Cinco de Mayo should never be forgotten. For this wondrous day, I put together some things you might see around Brooklyn:

The Mexican  Flag
Don't get it twisted, that's a snake in that eagle's mouth!

Fish Tacos
If you've never had one, proceed to smacking yourself NOW!

Elote, Mexican Style Corn
I'm not saying any names, but Habana Outpost has some damn good Elote!

Ahhhh yes..... you will be sure to see "Papi"- every neighborhood has one.
He's the guy double fisting two Coronas all while smiling...
There is a good chance he will be shirtless and tatted up.

All Saints
They come in all colors shapes and sizes, but today of all days, you are bound to see Saints!

Sexto de perro
It's inevitable. When people are busy partying, dogs seize this opportunity for action.
You have been warned....

Cornoa with Lime
Where would barracho spring breakers and Mexicans be without
"La Cerveza Más Fina"?
